MDOREH Corona virus aid efforts

The current outbreak of COVID-19 (coronavirus) has now affected over 100 countries and territories around the world, including the United States. In late January 2020, the International Health Regulations Emergency Committee of the World Health Organization announced that the outbreak of the novel respiratory virus was a “public health emergency of international concern.” On March 11, the World Health Organization

Director-General officially characterized COVID-19 as pandemic.

The majority of reported cases so far have occurred in China, South Korea, Iran, and Italy. Most illnesses have currently been reported to be mild, though serious illness including death has occurred, especially among those with extreme underlying health conditions.

MDOREH has began a crowdfunding campaign with the resources to be donated to the Department of Biomedical and Clinical Sciences at the Luigi Sacco Hospital of Milan, a leading center for infectious diseases and epidemiological emergencies and on the front line of the fight against the killer virus in Italy. The aim of the donation is to fund research at the hospital, which is playing a key role internationally in the development of a vaccine for Covid-19.

The MDOREH Covid-19 Solidarity Response Fund is a secure way for individuals, philanthropies and businesses to contribute to the Department of Biomedical and Clinical Sciences at the Luigi Sacco Hospital of Milan and make effort to respond to the pandemic.

MDOREH has established $78,000 from its corporate account for epidemic and public health security fund to support efforts including screening and research and development (R&D) for cures of diseases such as the new coronavirus, as well as for longer-term efforts such as public health and safety information dissemination. We will also provide artificial intelligence technology as well as computing resources to assist in R&D efforts by research institutes and disease control agencies.

Nonprofit organizations are responding to the COVID-19 outbreak and mobilizing resources for coronavirus relief. Please consider making a donation to the coronavirus aid efforts through the MDOREH platform.
